great pleasure, on behalf of the Royal College of Obstetricians
and Gynaecologists, I invite you to the RCOG World Congress in
Obstetrics and Gynaecology, to be held in Liverpool, 24 – 26
June 2013.As European Capital of Culture in 2008, Liverpool has much to offer. The home of both the Beatles and the Grand National, it is a hugely diverse city, bursting with life, music, colour and culture. With a fascinating history stretching back over 800 years there are more museums, theatres and galleries in Liverpool than any other UK city outside London.
Within this setting our congress will be held in the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool. Not only is the ACC located on the historic world heritage waterfront at the heart of Liverpool, it is purpose-built and one of the largest conference centres in the UK, combining state-of-the-art technology with cutting edge design, an ideal venue for a world congress to take place.
For the first time, the World Congress has actively sought the involvement of the UK’s specialist societies in the creation of the scientific programme. Many have designed their own sessions with world-renowned speakers from the UK and further afield to share their expertise and knowledge. The programme will feature five simultaneous streams with a wide variety of topics, enabling you to tailor the programme specifically to your own interests and clinical practice. I look forward to updating you on its progress over the coming months.
